The Calgary 18th Scout Group is fundraising to help send kids to summer camp. To help us achieve this the scouts are selling Tomato plants that they have grown from seeds. We have several varieties available and it will be first come, first served on picking up varieties. You can find the available varieties noted below.
Tomato Plants were a little delayed this year due to weather and will be available for pickup Saturday June 1 from 10:00am to noon.

Bonny Best Organic
Red Slicing Tomato
Well suited to anywhere with a short, cool growing season. This variety matures early and is easy to grow. Expect abundant yields of smooth, scarlet coloured, solid, meaty tomatoes weighing 170-283 grams (6-10 oz.). Excellent, old-fashioned tomato taste. Great for slicing, canning, salsas and sauces.

Sungella tomato seeds produce plants with fruits about the size of a golf ball. The tidy vines produce big trusses of bright golden tomatoes that are less prone to splitting than some of the other cherry varieties. The plump little fruits are sweet and tasty, and make a great summer snack.

Amish Paste Organic
Amish Paste organic roma tomato seeds produce large, heavy fruit that will reward your growing efforts and your palate with the richest sauces and thickest pastes. These lovely, firm heirloom tomatoes are a culinary favourite. Vines continuously produce small clusters of large (up to 8 oz.) deep red fruit that are nearly seedless.

This lovely French heirloom salad tomato has persimmon orange skin and flesh. The plants are incredibly productive and early maturing, and the flavour of this variety is amazing. It is full bodied with a hint of citrus, and the spectacular colour is maintained when the fruits are dried.

Gardener's Delight cherry tomato seeds have a wonderful, old-fashioned flavour and produces long trusses laden with clusters of 6-12, 0.5cm (1"), crack-resistant, bright-red morsels.

Early Cascade tomato seeds produce super abundant yields from early summer to the first frost. Fruits are bright red, full of flavour, and of medium size to 110g (4 oz.) each. Perfect for salads and sandwiches, but versatile enough for home processing and canning. This variety also has very good disease resistance. It has been specially bred for cooler climates.

Our hall is located at 1919 19th Street, and many generations of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, and Rovers have met in its walls.
