Until March 31st the Scouts will be selling a variety of seed packages. Scout groups will receive 40% of the profits so please make sure to select "Scout Group" upon checkout and pick the "Calgary 18th Scouts". Seed packages are available here: https://scoutseeds.ca/
Are those bottles accumulating in your household and the Scouts have not been around to clean them out? Have no fear, now you can donate your bottles directly at the Money Back Container Shack located at 2835 37 St SW #12, Calgary, AB T3E 3B3. You don't even need to wait in line or anything if you use the bottledrop.ca site.
I have also created a quick demo video to walk you through how you can donate your bottles. You can watch it here.
Starting with the centennial summer camp over to Europe and continuing on for this scouting year the Calgary 18th Scout Group is 100 years old! There will be events to celebrate this coming out in the near future, so keep an eye out for a campfire, dinner and other events!
We had our Volunteer Banquet where we got to cover many stories for the trip and hopefully some of those will show up in the Query as well. Thanks to everyone that came out for a great evening of laughter and fun and it made an excellent wrap up. There were some awards handed out to all the leaders that participated on the trip as well to mark their service, something memorable about them on the trip along with some badges denoting which particular challenges they were a part of and to celebrate their commitment to the program and the youth. Thanks again to everyone that made this possible!
We have two fundraisers on at the moment, our ScoutStarts Tomato Plants, which were a little late getting started with the weather this year, and the Spolumbo's Sausages. Please see their specific fundraising pages below and send an email to all your friends to participate!

Congratulations to our last Raffle winners, Jasvinder and Mr. Griffiths!
That concludes our raffle draws. Look for Coffee, ScoutStarts Tomato plants and Spolumbo's Sausages in the near future.
I wanted to take a moment to congratulate our first two Calendar Raffle draw winners, Dave on the 4th of February and Mark on the 11th. Two more smaller draws ($300) and the big draw ($1500) are coming up. Keep your ear to the ground for updates. The next draw date is February 19th.
It has come to our attention that the wrong contact number made it onto our door to door flyers that went out. The correct number is 403-245-1282. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The Calgary 18th Scouts will be having a bottle drive on Saturday January 12th and we will be in Scarboro and Bankview collecting bottles from 9:00am to 1:00pm. If you would like you can also swing by the hall and drop off any bottles that you might have.
Since the City of Calgary has stopped picking up Christmas Trees as part of their program, the Scouts have been filling in the gap. If you would like us to come by and pickup your old Christmas Tree in the new year and take it down to be recycled, please see http://calgary18th.com/treepickup for more details.
